Lies in the blogging world
Hey guys, I am back with another blog and this one is about things that have been lied about to me while in the blogging world. I have experienced each of these things on more than one occasion and that is why I want to share them with you. I also love to help other newer bloggers be aware of things because I never had anyone to help me like that when I first started. I would also love to know what you think of the things discussed in the blog and if there are any other things that you feel have been lied about in the blogging world. Let’s get right into the blog.
You need to use photos in your content
This is probably one of the most common lies in the blogging world. For me, pictures have damaged my content because I spent unnecessary time focusing on what pictures to use in order to fit in with my content. The only time I feel like you need one or two pictures in a blog is if you write massive posts that are 4000/5000 words long in order to break up the mass of writing that is there. I’ve been told I need pictures on so many occasions but my posts without them have done better statistically so it clearly proves that is not a necessity to use them.
Follow trains are the best thing to use
This is another common lie. I used to think they were okay to use but as time went on I found that they only cause damage to your blog because people who follow your blog from them just become inactive and don’t bother to read your content. I have 870 blog followers but I would say that about only 80 are active and even at that some of them aren’t active on every blog post. I would just love an active following and if you would love one too then follow trains must be avoided.
I have followed your blog
This is a slightly more rare one but it has happened to me a few times recently. I have people reply to me and say they have definitely followed my blog but I keep my WordPress open purely for notification access and it quickly becomes clear to me that they have not followed me. I don’t understand what you would gain out of lying to someone about whether you follow their blog or not. It is so easy to find out too, therefore, you will just be proven to be a liar very quickly.
Blogging is easy
This is a massive lie in my opinion. The thing that non-bloggers don’t realise is that blogging is far more than just writing. There are loads of things that come into play such as idea creation, planning, promotion and engaging. I have a full-time job too which takes up so much of my week too and therefore it makes blogging seem like a 2nd job. I put just as much time into blogging as I do with my job and that adds up to a massive amount of hours.
Sadly, there are a lot of lies in the blogging world and these are just a few. I would like to thank you for reading and supporting my content. I would also love for you to comment below with your opinions on what I have discussed as well as things you have experienced too. Have a great day.
